Desktop units sit on the desk and give users local access to power, USB charging and data or AV connections without running cables back to a floor box. Bownet stocks the PowerData Technologies range, including the Icon, Icon-ONE, Icon-FOUR, P-Pack and Mini and Maxi units.

Desktop Units FAQs

Can desktop units add data or AV connectivity as well as power?

Yes. Media slots on the Icon and Icon-FOUR ranges accept Cat6, Cat6a or HDMI couplers, so a single desktop unit can carry power, USB charging and a network or AV connection together.

What is the difference between the Icon and Icon-FOUR desktop units?

The Icon Desktop Units carry 2 individually switched sockets, while Icon-FOUR Desktop Units carry 4, both with dual USB A and C charging and 2 media slots.

Do desktop units include USB charging?

Selected models include a single or dual USB A and C charger outlet built into the unit, so devices can charge from the same desktop unit as the UK sockets.
