Delivery Services and Terms:

The following services and charges apply to orders where products are available from stock and delivery is to Great Britain only (England , Scotland & Wales). Excluded  territories include Northern Ireland and the rest of the world. A collection service is available for orders received from outside Great Britain. Orders for Timed and Next Day services will be dispatched the same day if ordered and payment is received by us before 4:00pm. Orders placed after 4:00pm will be processed during the next working day. Our hours of business are 8pm to 5pm Monday to Friday and we are not open on Bank Holidays or over the Christmas Period. If deliveries arrive late due to unforeseen courier issues, please note we do not refund any carriage charges.

Certain oversized parcels may attract a shipping surcharge that will be clearly displayed in the product details and at Checkout.

Prism Cabinets when delivered to Scotland will attract an £100 delivery charge per cabinet.

Certain products manufactured to order may require additional lead time for delivery. Where applicable, details are stated in the product description. Some images are generic so please check the product descriptions when ordering to avoid discrepancies on colours and specifications.

Any special site instructions must be given in the shipping details at the time of placing your order. This is particularly helpful for deliveries to construction sites and buildings being prepared for new occupants.

For delivery services outside of Great Britain or for Saturday deliveries please Contact Us. Orders received from outside Great Britain can be supplied ex works and the customer would then have to arrange the collection of goods as we co not export.

Please Note:

We may use a postal service provider for small orders and Economy services. All of our carrier companies make every effort to meet the criteria of timed delivery requests and site delivery instructions, working to within a one hour tolerance. They will endeavour to make tracking of consignments available for Timed and Next Day services and we will assist where we can but we accept no responsibility for late delivery. Delivery charges are non-refundable.  Our courier companies deliver to ground floor reception areas only and someone will be required to receive and sign for the goods.

Important Notice:  Damaged Goods

All deliveries signed for and accepted are deemed to be undamaged, without recourse, so please check all goods carefully before signing. Any damaged goods should either be rejected or signed for as damaged. Any instance of damage and/or rejection of goods must be notified to us immediately.

Returns Policy:

The Customer has no right to return Goods which have been delivered in accordance with the order.

Authorisation and Conditions of Return

Without prejudice to our General Terms & Conditions of Sale Bownet may, at its’ sole discretion, authorise the return of Goods subject to the following conditions:

Notice requesting the return of Goods is to be received by Bownet within 7 days of receipt of the Goods. Notice must include the reason for return and where applicable details of any damage or alleged defect.

Bownet authorisation to return Goods will be in the form of a Goods Return Note (“GRN”), the reference number of which must be clearly written on a label attached to the parcel to be returned.

Goods are to be returned at the Customer’s risk and expense within 21 days of the date of the GRN.

Goods must be clean, unused, in saleable condition and complete in their original undamaged packaging.

Condition, acceptance and final re-stocking charges and fees will be subject to Bownet inspection of the Goods upon delivery.

Goods returned outside of these terms and/or in unsaleable condition may be rejected and returned at the Customer’s expense.
Re-Stock Charges: Standard Bownet Stock Items

Administration Fee

An Administration Fee of £10.00+vat applies to all returns.

Re-stocking Charges

20% of the Purchase Price paid for the Goods.

Additional handling charges and fees (equal to a minimum of 15% of the Purchase Price paid for the Goods) may be levied on returns outside of these terms or not meeting the condition criteria.

Note: Where Standard Bownet Stock Items ordered in error are to be returned within the terms and conditions of this Returns Policy, Bownet may, at its’ sole discretion, waive or reduce Re-stocking Charges in exchange for a replacement order of equal of higher value at the time of giving notice of the request to return Goods.

Return Charges: Non-standard Stock Items (“Specials”)

Administration Fee

An Administration Fee of £10.00+vat applies to all returns.

Return Charges

30% up to 100% of the Purchase Price paid for the Goods.

Return Charges are dependent on the terms and conditions of return of the Bownet supplier or manufacturer, the saleability of the Goods being returned and the condition of the Goods upon return.

Additional handling charges may be levied to cover any costs or fees such as, without limitation, repackaging and carriage costs for the return transportation to the supplier or manufacturer.

Further handling charges may be applied to cover any costs or fees levied by the supplier or manufacturer in relation to the return of Goods to them and/or any costs associated with their rejection of Goods returned to them.

Return of Defective or Damaged Goods

Remedies for defective or damaged goods can be found in our General Terms & Conditions of Sale.

Defective or damaged Goods must be reported to Bownet and (if the defect is as a result of damage in transit) to the Carrier, within 24 hours of delivery. Bownet must be given reasonable opportunity of examining the Goods and the Customer (if asked to do so) should return such Goods for examination to the address specified by Bownet and at Bownet’s cost.

If, upon inspection by the supplier or manufacturer, Goods returned are found not to be defective Bownet may, at its’ sole discretion, reject and return the Goods to the Customer and charge a handling fee equal to a minimum of 15% of the Purchase Price paid.
