Excel Cat5e UTP LSOH Orange Sheath Data Cable is a Category 5e four pair U/UTP unshielded, solid conductor, copper cable with a low smoke, zero halogen sheath. The cable is supplied in reelex boxes of 305 metres with metre marking from 305 to 0 metre to reduce wastage.

Product Overview:

Excel Category 5e UTP Unscreened LSOH Cables are manufactured and tested to the ISO 11801, EN 50173 and ANSI/TIA‐568‐C standards for enhanced performance Category 5 cables.

Each cable consists of 8 colour coded polyethylene insulated conductors. These are twisted together to form 4 pairs with varying lay lengths. The pairs are jacketed in a low smoke zero halogen material, which complies with the requirements of IEC332‐1.

The printing detail on the sheath, includes the cables part number, specification details and a unique 305‐0 metre marking within each box supplied, allowing for quick and easy measurement of cable installed and the amount remaining within the box.

The Excel range of Cat5e data cables includes options for a screened or shielded version as well as a regular PVC Grey sheath and External Black sheath options.

Performance Overview:

Excel Category 5e cables are manufactured and tested to the Category 5 enhanced standards as defined by the TIA and ISO standards’ bodies. Swept frequency tests are applied to each critical performance characteristic, such as near end cross talk (NEXT) and far end cross talk (FEXT). Both Worst Case and Power Sum Test methods are applied. Actual performance exceeds the required standard by a considerable margin ensuring sufficient headroom for even the most demanding applications.
