This RJ45 strain relief boot is a black anti-snag boot designed to minimise strain on a terminated connection. It fits cable up to 8mm in diameter and slides over the plug once the cable has been terminated.
Fitting a boot over an RJ45 plug protects the termination from being pulled or snagged during and after installation, helping the connection stay reliable over time. A boot also guards the release tab from catching on other leads when a patch lead is pulled from a crowded panel or faceplate, and it gives the finished lead a tidier, more durable end.
