LAN cable certifiers test and certify structured cabling against Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6a and Cat8 performance standards, producing pass or fail results recognised by international standards bodies. This range is supplied by Trend Networks under the LanTEK IV-S name.

Choosing a LAN cable certifier

  • LanTEK IV-S 500MHz or 3000MHz models, covering testing up to Category 8 cabling.
  • Trade-in options against an existing Cat5e or higher cable certifier when upgrading to a new LanTEK IV-S unit.
  • Sapphire Care Plan cover for 1, 2 or 3 years, across copper and fibre options.

Add Cable Qualifiers or Cable Verifiers for other levels of testing, within the wider Copper Testers range.

LAN Cable Certifiers FAQs

What is the difference between a certifier and a verifier?

A cable certifier tests a link against a recognised performance standard and produces a pass or fail certification report, while a verifier gives a simpler check of cabling performance. See Cable Verifiers for that alternative.

What is a Sapphire Care Plan?

A Sapphire Care Plan is a cover option for a LanTEK IV-S cable certifier, available for 1, 2 or 3 years across copper and fibre testing, and offered at a 10% discount when purchased within 60 days of a new certifier.

Can I trade in my old certifier?

Yes. Trend Networks offers a trade-in scheme so you can upgrade an existing Cat5e or higher cable certifier to a new LanTEK IV-S 500MHz or 3000MHz unit.
