Cable Verifiers
Cable verifiers check LAN continuity and confirm cabling is correctly wired end to end, using the Trend Networks VDV II range plus remote identifier kits for locating individual outlets.

Cable verifiers give a quick pass or fail check on installed LAN cabling, confirming continuity and correct wiring without the full certification report of a cable certifier. Trend Networks supplies the VDV II family used here, sized for daily use by installers and maintenance engineers.
Choosing a cable verifier
The VDV II, VDV II Plus and VDV II Pro cover LAN continuity, network qualifier and network verifier testing, with the Pro model adding AnyWARE Cloud connectivity for recording results. A remote kit numbered 1 to 12 is available separately for identifying individual outlets during testing.
Where a full certified test report is required, see LAN Cable Certifiers, or for basic continuity checks see Continuity Testers. PoE checks are covered under PoE Testers, part of the wider Copper Testers range.
Cable Verifiers FAQs
What is the difference between a cable verifier and a cable certifier?
A cable verifier gives a pass or fail check on continuity and wiring, while a certifier produces a full test report against a cabling standard. See LAN Cable Certifiers if a certified report is required.
What does the remote kit numbered 1 to 12 do?
The remote kit gives each outlet its own identifier from 1 to 12 so an installer can confirm which cable run corresponds to which port while testing from the far end.
What is AnyWARE Cloud on the VDV II Pro?
AnyWARE Cloud is a feature on the VDV II Pro that supports recording and managing test results, useful where a record of verification is needed across a job.
