What size solar cable do I need?
4 mm² covers most string runs; 6 mm² reduces voltage drop on longer runs or higher current strings. Both are double insulated, UV resistant and rated for outdoor use.
What is Flamguard cable used for?
Circuits that must keep working in a fire: fire alarm loops, emergency lighting, voice alarm and smoke control, where BS 5839 or BS 8519 require fire resistant cable.
Which alarm cable type do I need?
Type 1 is the standard unscreened cable for most intruder alarm wiring; Type 3 offers a higher grade for longer runs and higher security installations.
