Unmanaged Desktop Switches give a simple plug and play way to connect several devices to a network from a single point, sitting on a desk or other flat surface rather than in a rack. Installers use them for small offices, meeting rooms and desk clusters that need extra ports without configuration.
Choosing a desktop switch
TP-Link desktop switches are available with 5, 8, 9, 10 or 16 ports, in Gigabit (10/100/1000Mbps) or 10/100Mbps speeds. Several models add PoE ports for powering access points, cameras or phones over the same cable, so check the port count and speed against the equipment you are connecting before ordering.

Unmanaged Desktop Switches FAQs
How many ports do I need on a desktop switch?
TP-Link desktop switches are available with 5, 8, 9, 10 or 16 ports, so count the devices you need to connect plus a spare port or two for future use.
What is the difference between a PoE and non-PoE desktop switch?
PoE models supply power to connected devices such as access points or cameras over the network cable itself, removing the need for a separate power adaptor at each device.
Can I mount an unmanaged desktop switch in a rack?
Desktop switches are designed to sit on a desk or other flat surface. For rack mounted equipment, see the Unmanaged Rackmount Switches range instead.
