Cat6 jacks are Category 6 UTP keystone modules that clip into keystone panels and faceplates, terminating horizontal cabling and presenting it as an RJ45 outlet for patching or direct connection. Excel and Combow both supply jacks in this range for network installers working to a Cat6 specification.
Choosing a Cat6 jack
All jacks here are 4 pair, unscreened UTP construction, available in black or white to match the faceplate or panel. Module size comes as standard keystone or toolless keystone, with the toolless version punching down without a separate termination tool, and Excel also offers a low profile toolless option.
For a screened Category 6a alternative see Cat6a Jacks, or for the highest specification see Cat8 Jacks. Panels to hold these jacks are listed under Keystone Panels, part of the full Keystone range.
Cat6 Jacks FAQs
What is the difference between a standard and toolless Cat6 jack?
A standard keystone jack is terminated using a punch down tool, while a toolless jack allows the conductors to be pressed into place without a separate tool, which can speed up first fix termination on larger jobs.
Are these Cat6 jacks screened or unscreened?
The jacks in this range are unscreened UTP construction. For a screened option built to Category 6a, see Cat6a Jacks instead.
What colours are Cat6 jacks available in?
Cat6 jacks in this range are available in black or white, allowing the jack colour to be matched to the keystone panel, faceplate or surrounding trunking it is fitted into on site.
