The deployment of FTTP the telecom network is gathering a pace. Ribbon splicing enables a much faster deployment of fibre but a different set of skills are required.
The course is aimed at fibre optic technicians and those contractors who are seeking to take their existing single splicing competency, and acquire the special techniques, requirements and skills, needed to successfully ribbon splice pre prepared ribbon fibre.
Our training centre is located in Harlow in the South East of England just off the M25. We can also deliver courses at your location by arrangement if you have a suitable workspace.

- Correct Handling, operation and maintenance of Fujikura Mass Fusion Splicers
- Wrapping Tube Cable/Spider Web Ribbon Cabling including enclosures
- Best Practice for Splicing
- Handling and preparation of cables
- Splicing of Fujikura Spider Web Ribbon Cable
- Testing of splice joints
- Documentation
Assessment
Although there is no formal assessment, delegates can take the optional examination.
All delegates will receive a certificate of attendance with successful delegates who pass the optional examination will receive a Total Comms Training certificate.
