Advanced Fibre Optic Testing & Characterization for PON, GPON and Telecoms Fibre Optic Networks.
The qualification will be referencing the BSEN50173/BEN50174 and ISO/IEC 14763-3:2014 series of standards
This course will provide delegates with a much greater understanding of tier 2 testing, to include OTDR set up, interpreting traces and analysing results: using OTDRs to enhance fault-finding methodologies plus event mapping architecture. With the knowledge gained, delegates will be able to confidently use the OTDR when determining results and carrying out fault finding on a fibre optic network. By applying this knowledge delegates can apply this understanding by demonstrating the appropriate use of test equipment. The courses will also cover aspects of mode conditioning and characterisation set up as well as OSA testing
This 3668 Level 3 is also designed to significantly enhance the knowledge of fibre technicians who are involved in advanced testing of fibre optic networks, in particular telecoms networks where span lengths are longer. It is anticipated that delegates who are attending this level 3 training course, will have already gained some experience with OTDR’s.
Our training centre is located in Harlow in the South East of England just off the M25. We can also deliver courses at your location by arrangement if you have a suitable workspace.
